Peter Chung
"I feel like I'm still experimenting, and testing my abilities. "
Emru Townsend: If you could, how would you describe the personalities of the different characters, in just a couple of words? Okay, the main character, we kind of have the idea. Let's say, Trevor. How would you describe his personality?

Peter Chung: His personality?

His personality, his character, his personal life, whatever you want to call it.

I think a lot of people have a tendency to regard him as the villain of the series. But he really isn't, and he's not even necessarily Æon's enemy all the time. The main way he functions in the story is that he's the most powerful man in the world. But he's also very well-intentioned and he wants to use his power to help society. He's also hopelessly obsessed with Æon. His schemes, which aren't intended to harm anybody, from Æon's point of view, restrict her freedom. So she's constantly trying to preserve that by undermining his projects. The thing about her is that she's not really reacting to what he's doing, necessarily. It's more like, where the two of them intersect is often coincidental. I don't know if that answers your question. I could go on and on for hours.

What's next?

Well, we'll see how the shows do in terms of ratings, see what kind of a response they get. If MTV feels like the show is doing well, then they'll order more, and I'll be glad to do more. I'm interested in taking the characters in yet another direction. I'm looking forward to doing more and I hope I get the opportunity to do them.

Is this something that you can foresee doing for a while? Do you have plenty of things you'd like to flesh out and explore with it?

Yeah, for the time being anyway. I feel like I'm still experimenting, and testing my abilities. It's a fairly flexible format in terms of the character definitions and the kind of environment that was created. So I can actually see myself doing this for a while longer.
